"Stayed during Olympics, fantastic location near to south Paris arena. Quite spacious room compared to other hotels in Paris. The only thing I would suggest to improve is that only two bottles of complementary water were given to a room accommodate four and refused to provide more when asking. You need to get to the bar on ground floor to buy."

"The most perfect hotel I have ever stayed in France! The service is very patient and meticulous, and it is polite with gentlemanly manners. Although the room is not big, it has everything, complete facilities, windows, facing the street but very quiet. The bathroom is very clean and the hot water for bathing is very good. I was very tired after a day, but I had a very good rest. I hope I will have the opportunity to stay here again next time. I went out for a walk in the morning and found that it was raining. I was about to go back to find my umbrella in the box, but the gentleman at the front desk took the initiative to lend me an umbrella from the hotel 🌂, which was very thoughtful. Thank you."

"The location is good, it is the subway M1 line, because in the middle of the hutong and colleagues turned around 2 laps to find. The front desk is all men. Courtesy is still possible. Going out will also remind guests of their bags. . The typical French school of the elevator is super small. Fortunately, we live on the first floor. Most of the European hotels that need to bring their own slippers are like this. Overall it is still possible to recommend staying. Affordable"

"I only stayed here during my 2 nights and 3 days trip to Paris. When I woke up on the first day, I got a bug bite on my neck, but I thought it wasn't a bed bug. But after a while, the saliva spread to my arms. Stayed here and was bitten by a bed bug. I tried to save money in a cheap place, but only the treatment fee went several times. If you don't want to be like me, find a clean place even if you pay a little more."

"It was in a great location next to all the shops, mostly cafes. A 10 minute walk to a even more busier streets that lead to Arc de Triomphe. The only con was that in one of the rooms the USB port wasn’t working, and the water can get to the floor easily from showering. No lotion either. Guess hotels are doing away with those . The staff was great! They dressed up in holiday sweaters "

"The hotel is located near the Eiffel Tower, about 10-13 minutes walk. The hotel room is good in Paris, the room is relatively spacious, and the breakfast is relatively rich (of course, it is not comparable to the buffet breakfast of domestic star hotels, but the quality is still good). There is a subway station next to it, which makes it easy to reach various attractions in the city, such as the Louvre and the Champs Elysées. Overall recommendation."

"The location of the hotel is very close to the Montparnasse Railway Station. It is suitable for travelers who catch the train. Although it is located in the downtown area, the rest time at night is very quiet. Let us sleep well. The hotel is full of restaurants and bars to meet the needs of you want to eat all kinds of meals. Chinese food and Japanese food. The front desk of the Thai restaurant is very nice. I came back at night and said good night to us in Chinese. The room was very clean. Although small, it felt warm and pleasant."

Paris Travel Recommendations and City Info

Introduction to Paris, France: An Ode to Love and Art

Situated in the Ile-de-France region, Paris, the capital city of France, is renowned globally as the 'City of Love' and the 'City of Lights'. Known for its art, fashion, gastronomy, and culture, Paris serves as the epitome of romance and elegance. Its timeless familiarity due to famous landmarks, like the Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame, combined with its love for coffee culture and designer boutiques, offers a unique allure that's truly Parisian.

Practical Information for Travelling to Paris

International travelers typically land at Charles de Gaulle Airport, the major aviation hub in France. RER B (city train) and Roissybus are efficient transport services to reach the city center. Visa requirements depend on the country of origin; please consult the French embassy or consulate in your country for accurate information.

While cash is accepted, credit cards are the primary mode of payment. French is the official language, although English is widely spoken in tourist areas. Remember to greet with 'Bonjour' (Good day) as the French value politeness. In terms of traditions, Bastille Day on July 14th is a major national celebration that visitors can enjoy.

Must-Visit Attractions in Paris

Paris is home to some of the world's most iconic landmarks. The Eiffel Tower, Louvre Museum, Notre-Dame Cathedral, Champs-Élysées, and the bohemian Montmartre district top the list. The city's beautiful parks like the Tuileries Garden and the enchanting Palace of Versailles are also worth exploring.

Weather and Best Time to Visit Paris

Paris experiences a temperate climate. Summers (June to August) are warm with temperatures around 25°C (77°F), while winters can be chilly, averaging around 3-6°C (37-42°F). The best time to visit is during the spring (April to June) and fall (September to November), when the weather is pleasant. Pack accordingly with comfortable shoes, as exploring Paris often involves walking.

Choosing the Perfect Paris Accommodation

Paris has a wide variety of accommodation options. For a stay close to main attractions, Hotel du Louvre in the Unbound Collection by Hyatt is an excellent choice. Foodies might enjoy Hotel Le Six, located near various Parisian cafes and bakeries.

Budget travelers can consider Hotel Marignan in the Latin Quarter. For luxury seekers, Four Seasons Hotel George V provides an opulent stay. Business travelers might appreciate Pullman Paris Tour Eiffel for its proximity to the business district. If looking for an Instagrammable hotel, Maison Souquet's unique decor will satisfy your needs. Conveniently located near Charles de Gaulle Airport, citizenM Paris Charles de Gaulle is ideal for those wanting to stay close to the airport.

I was quite embarrassed. Luckily, I had cash in my pocket. I asked reception for an explanation and received 3 different ones over the next 24 hours. This is our 6th stay, the last one being last July Not sure what happened since our last stay, but the service has dropped to what is now an unacceptably low level. It seems the ( very large) hotels focus on quantity at the expense of quality . What a shame…

GGuest UserI first stayed at this Hotel in 2014 and was very impressed with the entire experience, so I valued this hotel and always wanted to return… 8 years later and I was extremely disappointed. I booked a superior villa room, and we was given room 6. This room is located on the ground floor directly behind the reception reception desk on the ground floor. The receptionist (skinny white male, 40+ years old) who checked us in on 15/12/22 at 11:30pm was very rude, awkward and sarcastic during the check in process. When we got to our room, we felt it lacked privacy being on the ground floor with only a wall between us and the main reception area, the Toilet was also in a separate room with no sink, meaning anyone who uses that toilet would need to open the door with their dirty hands and walk all the way to the bathroom to wash hands. There were also mascara stains on one of the pillows. We requested if we could change to another room on a higher floor but to the same level for what we had paid for (superior villa room). The receptionist said this was fine, and changed us over to another room on the 5th floor. We were really happy and grateful until we got to the room, only to find this room was actually a downgrade to a ‘classic villa room’ which felt much smaller and wasn’t very nice. This also wasn’t explained to us prior to him changing our rooms over. We returned to reception and asked why we had been out in a downgraded room, his response was he didn’t realise and this was a mistake in his behalf. I asked him if there were any other rooms to the same value as what I had paid for the superior room available on another floor. I was told out of the entire hotel there was only two rooms left, the one behind reception, or the classic room on the 5th floor which would be a downgrade. We reluctantly opted to stay with the original room behind reception. The receptionist was very smug and seemed to find this funny. After settling in and falling asleep… 6:30am a motorbike wakes us up, as our room is located beside the main entrance and reception we hear every car or motorbike dropping off, or picking up guests, and every person checking in or out. 7:15am the bins are collected, again very loud and as our room is right next to this area we hear it all. It really seems standards have significantly dropped since we last stayed. Service seems to be poor and cleanliness of the hotel not as good as before, an overall terrible experience and if it wasn’t so late when we checked in I would’ve booked another hotel because the receptionist was so rude. On a side note, I must also say there was another receptionist who was working the night shift the following day (16/12/22) around 10pm and he was very friendly, helpful and a nice person. If I could give him 5 stars I would, but unfortunately the experience with the initial receptionist meant our experience was already tainted by this point. I doubt we will ever return unfortunately, and cannot recommend, unless your guaranteed a decent room on a higher floor.

GGuest UserI booked a small room just for one night, but I had a enough space to open my big suitcase and backpack :) The room was cute and clean, I was really relaxed there. Staffs and service were also great, there was free coffee/tea and cakes at reception ! AAnonymous UserAccessibility and Location: We were mindful that Montmarte is a hilly, cobbled location; therefore, on arrival and departure taxi or Uber would be the most convenient way with large luggages. It's brilliantly located within walking distances of fabulous bars, restaurants, and main sights of Montmarte. About 450-550 meters within Metro stops of Lamarck and Chateau Rouge. Cleanliness: The room we were in had a bit of a body odour smell on arrival, which was disappointing. Thankfully the windows can be opened so that solved the issue. Comfort: Beds and pillows were comfortable. Service: Good breakfast service. The staff were welcoming and attentive. Good coin laundry service.

ZZILIIn Depth Experience Report of LYF Gambetta Hotel Paris - A Genuine Guest's Pleasant Surprise Introduction: As a frequent traveler who has stayed in numerous hotels across France, choosing the LYF brand this time upon a friend’s recommendation was a completely new experience. As a first time guest of this brand and someone unfamiliar with this particular area of Paris, I documented my stay with an entirely objective perspective, and it turned out to exceed expectations. Facilities: The hotel is brand new, and while there was a faint hint of paint smell in the room (likely due to recent renovations), the overall facilities are thoughtfully designed with a youthful, practical, and distinctive style. My base room was around 20 square meters—already significantly larger than other Parisian accommodations in the same price range. According to the website, the hotel also offers family friendly options with kitchens, loft style rooms, and more. The complimentary bedtime tea was excellent a well known French brand also sold at Lafayette ,perfect for unwinding at night. The coffee provided wasn’t quite to my taste, but it was still decent. The basement level (B1) features a laundry room, entertainment area, gym, co-working space, and meeting rooms, all uniquely designed. Notably, there’s a shared kitchen fully equipped for guests to cook their own meals ,a fantastic amenity! Service: It’s clear that the hotel’s opening team is still in training, and while some staff members appeared slightly inexperienced, their dedication was evident. Every request I made was promptly addressed. One employee, Helana, stood out-when she noticed I seemed unsure in the laundry room one evening, she proactively approached me, asked if everything was alright, and offered a solution. The next day, I observed her energetically assisting other colleagues. When I complimented her, she humbly replied that she genuinely enjoys helping others and even shared useful insights about the hotel’s facilities. Another front desk lady (whose name I regrettably forgot) was consistently warm and smiling, resolving my queries with kindness and even granting me a late checkout. Outstanding service like this truly minimizes travel hassles and adds delightful surprises to the journey. Impressed by LYF’s service, I decided to extend my stay by five more nights for a deeper experience. Safety & Transportation: Some had warned that this district might not be the safest, but my stay proved otherwise. The area is well connected, just a five-minute walk to the metro and feels like a residential neighborhood with an artistic vibe. One night, I returned to the hotel at 3 AM via night bus and walked back without issue, as the streets were still lively with people chatting or on dates. The area is both tranquil and culturally vibrant. Dining: Plenty of supermarkets and restaurants are within easy walking distance, making dining options convenient. Booking Recommendation: Ideal for travelers seeking an ”authentic local living” experience, young families, or digital nomads. The base room offers great value, while longer stays may warrant upgrading to a kitchen equipped unit. Final Thoughts: Overall, I highly recommend this hotel. Considering its location, price, safety, facilities, and service, it stands out as the best I’ve experienced in Paris. While not the most luxurious, it’s undoubtedly a unique space that lets you feel the pulse of the city. My stay was so enjoyable that I’ve decided to book another five nights after returning from Nice. I’ll share an update after my second stay!

EEricDecent hotel - fine for the price but not really a 4 star hotel in my opinion. Location was alright. It’s relatively easy to get there (10 min walk from the metro, at the end of the 4 Porte de Clignancourt line) but it’s not really by anything in itself and environment was not nice. For my room, size was adequate but was pretty basic and cleanliness left a little to be desired (there was a random long hair on my towel?). Staff is nice and helpful though.

TTeresa portogheseThe positive aspects are: -The location of the hotel is excellent, the cadet stop is practically a 1 minute walk away. -The room was clean and the bed was comfortable -Friendly staff Negative aspects: -The shower has a curtain that was not very clean (the curtain tended not to retain the water therefore) -Above the toilet on the ceiling there was a fire shower head where every 2-3 minutes a drop of water fell All in all I would recommend it as a value for money
